It offers a broad range of accurate and reliable measurement instruments based on the cutting-edge technology to help our customers optimize their processes, improve efficiency, minimize energy consumption, and ensure the high quality of their end-products. 

 

Continuous Monitoring System Field Team Lead

Location: Remote

Expected travel up to 50%

 

Overview:

In the Industrial Measurements business unit our global team develops measurement instruments and sells to thousands of Vaisala’s customers in life science, power transmission and many other industrial application markets ranging from automotive to the food industries.

 

We are looking for:

The Field Team Lead is responsible for the success of their team by building a strong team environment and managing customers expectations. In this role you will lead a team of talented engineers on all service-related matters within Continuous Monitoring System which includes recruitment, development, and supervision of calibration/installation engineers to achieve superior results in customer satisfaction. Our knowledgeable service team serves customers by installing, calibrating, trouble shooting, and training on Vaisala’s CMS products and software.

 

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Lead a team of talented engineers
  • Conduct team/1:1 meetings
  • Suggest best practices and drive continuous improvement
  • Provide troubleshooting and repair support for customers and field team personnel
  • Be an example on Vaisala’s core values
  • Develop a positive working relationships with customers and service team
  • Perform system installation, expansion, and upgrades
  • Remote hardware addictions, software upgrades, and system configuration
  • Perform Validation – IQ/OQ (as needed)
  • Advanced troubleshooting and diagnostics
  • SOP development
  • Provide product feedback Product Management group
  • Review calibration Certificates
  • Review SQLite file
  • Support Project Managers with service quotes and proposals and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
  • Train new service personal
  • Passport required, May require international travel

 

Education & Work Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree and/or related experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of work Experience (Pharma/Med-Device)
  • Minimum of 1 year of Project Management experience

 

Other Desired Experience:

  • Experience with remote resource management a plus
  • Accredited calibration laboratory work experience a plus
  • Experience in an ISO 17025 Quality Systems or GMP regulated environments
  • Experience working with FDA regulated life science customers a plus.
  • Knowledge of Quality Management Systems a plus
  • OSHA10 hour construction certification will be required upon hire
  • Solid customer service background with a passion for excellence in satisfaction.
  • Cross cultural and management experience in diverse multiple locations preferred
  • Analytical and positive approach to problem solving
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Fluency with spoken and written English
  • Must have valid US passport and the ability to travel internationally.
