Field Service Engineer - Pennslyvania
We are currently searching for a Field Service Engineer based in the Pennslyvania region to join our Field Service team. This position is fully remote role where work will be performed at customer sites and has the opportunity for occasional work-from-home days.

We are currently searching for a highly motivated Field Service Engineer to work with the Road Weather Information Systems product line to provide technical field support, field installation, and training. This Position requires 75% to 90% travel in North America, with potential for international travel.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Managing customer interactions in a confident and professional manner to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Participation in installation and commissioning of Vaisala Road Weather systems and products at customer's locations to ensure full functionality according to specifications.
- Provides on-site technical service to troubleshoot and repair Vaisala products.
- Coordinates problem resolution with engineering, sales, and other personnel to expedite.
- Produces commissioning and service reports for field activities.
- Analyzes review and inspection findings to determine source of problem and performs or recommends repair, replacement, or other corrective action.
- Develops knowledge base based on field investigations, engineering changes, and overall knowledge of product.
Qualifications:
- Associate Degree or equivalent Military/technical school and at least 2 years of experience in field service work and technical troubleshooting. Or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Attention to detail
- Independent and self-motivated
- Ability to work with minimal instruction
- Strong communication skills with technical competence
- Travel will be approximately 75% to 90% of the workload
- Prepared to travel internationally in support of our products
- Ability to work alone in harsh outdoor environments, including cold and hot conditions and remote locations.
- Able to adhere to company and OSHA safety standards

ANTICIPATED SALARY RANGE: $38-$46 per hour ($80,000-$95,000 annually). Salary is determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
