Field Calibration Engineer - Upper Midwest Region - Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, Michigan

We are looking for a remote Field Calibration Engineer to join our Industrial Measurements CMS Calibration Team based in the Upper Midwest Region, reporting to our Boston Office located in Burlington, MA. What's your role?
You will be part of our Life Sciences CMS Calibration team of 7 professionals. Together with the team, you will have an excellent opportunity to perform calibrations at our customer sites throughout the US and Canada. This position may also be called on to support onsite installations. In this role you will be working in close co-operation with Project Managers, Installation Engineers and Helpdesk Technicians. You will report to the Field Service Manager, Calibrations.
The successful candidate must reside within 1 hour driving distance from a major airport. Preference will be given to candidates that live in the following states:

In this role, your primary responsibilities will be:

Conduct onsite Single/Multi Point calibrations.

Provide instrumentation service/support both by phone and/or on site.

Troubleshooting, configuration, and documentation of calibrations performed.

Provide instrumentation training to customers.

Accurately document instrumentation service work performed.

Plan and schedule work with clients.
-
Plan and book own travel and complete expense reports in a timely manner.

Manage workload to maintain effectiveness and productivity.
What will you bring?
- Preferred Knowledge and Experience:
-
Metrology
-
Certified training in either metrology, computers, or electronics
-
Experience working with FDA regulated customers
-
GAMP knowledge and experience with electronic records in the pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturing industries (FDA 21 CFR Part 11)
-
- Current U.S. Passport and willingness to travel up to 75-80% annually
-
Associates degree in a technical field and 2 or more years of experience in a technical professional role.

Or equivalent combination of education and experience
-
Knowledge of low voltage analog signal wiring and basic circuit diagnostics
-
Experience with and commitment to on time completion of expense and service reports

Self-motivated and ability to work independently
-
Strong problem solving, communication and organizational skills with a penchant for quality and attention to detail.

Knowledge and understanding of ISO 17025
-
Ability to work at elevation, confined spaces, and in cold environments

Solid customer service background with a passion for excellence in satisfaction

Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook

Strong communication and interpersonal skills
