Quality Control Technician

Our subsidiary VAISALA France SAS, located in Saclay (91) is a key supplier of atmospheric measurement instruments for the analysis of wind profiles, thanks to LIDAR (Light Detection and Ranging), laser technology (predominantly optical, photonic and electronic). Its various markets are the wind industry, international airports, meteorology and air quality. VAISALA France SAS generates its turnover mainly internationally on the 5 continents.

Missions

In a context of constant growth and development of its activities, VAISALA France SAS is currently recruiting a Quality Control Technician F/M.

Attached to the Global Quality Manager, you will be in charge of checking the conformity of components and products, carrying out validation operations and guaranteeing the maintenance of components.

Your main missions will be to:

 

Product / component conformity control

- Set up its control / validation schedule

- Elaborate the control instructions (with the help of the R&D and Method departments)

- Carry out conformity controls according to planning and instructions

- Produce reports / control records

- Diagnose the failure modes of products / components

- Elaborate internal or supplier non-conformity reports and take immediate action

- Transmit and follow up on the progress of supplier non-conformity reports.

- Attends supplier audits.

- Reports on its activity and participates in the continuous improvement of the company's processes

 

Metrological validation of systems

- Develops validation schedules according to the instructions of the Validation Engineer

- Carries out validation operations

- Prepares internal non-conformity reports and follows up their resolution

 

Maintenance of components

- Expertise of the components back from the field / production

- Contacts the supplier for repair estimates and decides on the "repairability" according to defined rules

- Generates the maintenance order

- Organize the return of the component to the supplier

- Follows its portfolio of components in maintenance and ensures the return of the components according to the defined deadline

- Checks the conformity of the components returned from maintenance

 

Profile

Bachelor degree in photonics or measurement & metrology,  you have at least 3 years of experience in an industrial environment, from supplier to customer quality management with high workshop/ operational interactions.

Technical knowledge and skills

•  Quality tools: problem solving (8D methodology), 5S, cause analysis

•  English "read/written" required for supplier dialogue, "spoken" would be a plus

•  Optics and/or electronics, measurement & metrology

•  Computer skills, Windows, Microsoft Office package, ERP with Quality Control module

•  Reading / understanding of mechanical drawings (dimensions, tolerances, etc.) and technical specifications

•  Knowledge of the Software Client FTP, Client SSH, ModBus and SAP is a plus

•  Training in process audit / internal audit and knowledge of ISO 9001 is highly appreciated
