Field Service Engineer

The business area serves selected weather-dependent customers to whom accurate, real-time, uninterrupted, and reliable weather data is essential to run efficient operations.



We are looking for a Field Engineer to strengthen our Training, Maintenance and Repair Department.


The main mission of the Field Engineer is to work with customers in order to ensure all the necessary operations on the products (repair, maintenance, etc.). In this context, the engineer will train clients and partners. He can also work on systems in the workshop.


Your main missions will be as follows:

  • Train customers and distributors in the use of equipment, Lidar technology and its applications.
  • Install systems at customers and distributors
  • Receive, prepare (spare parts, tools, travel logistics), execute and close the services entrusted by the PCS manager: Customer training at the workshop and on site, Factory and on Site Acceptance  Test (FAT and SAT), on-site repairs, preventive maintenance, retrofits, upgrades, specific interventions
  • Up-to-date our information system such as but no limit to ERP  and Salesforce CRM following the services provided, as well as the Troubleshooting database
  • Enter and introduce monthly Service Level KPI
  • Collect and share customer and market information with Marketing & Sales department
  • Raise up product, process non-conformity, and ideas of improvements
  • Report the proof or your monthly travel expenses to your Manager.
  • Participate on request in cross-company projects, organization and structuring projects of the PCS Pole, more broadly of the Service Center, and projects to upgrade the skills of our distributors and partners

You will be very mobile, sometimes up to 80% of the time, mainly in Europe, United States and Asia. Your missions in the field will require rigorous preparation of the means at your disposal.

When you return from your mission, you will have to write precise and complete reports so that they can be used by other departments of the company.



General engineer (if possible, with a specialization in optics or electronics), you have experience of at least 2 or 3 years, ideally in a similar position on complex systems or instrumentation in an international context.

You are motivated by the Customer Satisfaction, you like to travel and have intercultural skills.

Practical aspects

This position is to be filled immediately on a permanent contract and will be based in Saclay (91).
