Sales Manager

The business area serves selected weather-dependent customers to whom accurate, real-time, uninterrupted, and reliable weather data is essential to run efficient operations.


As our road weather business in France and Spain is growing, we are looking for a self-motivated sales professional to drive future business with customers and partners.


In the context of the constant growth and development of our activities in the meteorology market, Leosphere is recruiting a "Sales Manager– Road Meteorology", in order to strengthen our sales team.

Reporting to the Sales Director, you will be responsible for developing and marketing Vaisala products and services and achieving sales objectives by proactively seeking new business potential, developing and maintaining existing customer relationships, and negotiating and entering into agreements.

Your main missions will be as follows:


  • Promote the Vaisala offer (sensors, software, services) by visiting existing and potential customers, private or public, by participating in exhibitions, trade shows and seminars in France and abroad...
  • Promote and develop relationships with local partners, while creating opportunities for business development.  Market with high potential for commercial development that can be tripled…
  • Manage accounts receivable under the direction of the Sales Manager Europe and in collaboration with the members of the sales team.
  • Plan, budget and implement the regional sales plan,
  • Prepare commercial quotes/negotiations and tenders in accordance with Vaisala's sales process. And thus, ensure profitable sales by achieving the gross margin targets set and minimizing the turnover of receivables.
  • Be the expert of customer needs, challenges and market conditions, with the help of the product manager and the after-sales service: report customer requirements and comments to internal functions
  • Prepare  marketing materials for  corporate communication and  product presentation  in French. And collaborate with marketing on webinars, workshops, customer success stories.
  • Prepare and execute contracts with local distributors or agents. And coordinate installations at customers' premises.



From formation BAC+4/5 from a general engineering school or business school.

Previous technical experience in sales (2-3 years) and business development on international ecosystems. 

Previous experience in winter maintenance, traffic management and road weather are an advantage in this role.

Plan for one-off trips abroad.


Technical knowledge and skills

  • Ability to work in BtoG or Bto B
  • Ability to acquire technical knowledge of our offers (sensors, software, services), our business processes, contractual and legal frameworks, industrial standards (winter maintenance, traffic management), the market and the competitive landscape.
  • Fluency in French and English is essential. Spanish is a plus.
  • Strong customer orientation and thus equipped with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge of the meteorology market will be particularly appreciated.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Power-Point, Outlook), Salesforce, SAP.
