Field Service Engineer

Our subsidiary VAISALA France SAS, located in Saclay (91) is a key supplier of atmospheric measurement instruments for the analysis of wind profiles, thanks to LIDAR (Light Detection and Ranging), laser technology (predominantly optical, photonic and electronic). Its various markets are the wind industry, international airports, meteorology and air quality. VAISALA France SAS generates its turnover mainly internationally on the 5 continents.

 

As part of the ongoing growth and development of our activities in the atmospheric LIDAR markets, Vaisala France SAS is recruiting a Field Engineer to strengthen our Customer Service division.

 

Reporting to the Training Repair & Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for installing equipment at our customers', partners' and distributors' sites (Wind, Airport and Meteorological markets) and for training them in its use.

 

Your significant missions will consist of :
- Installation of our instruments,
- Theoretical and practical training of clients in the use of our equipment,
- Troubleshoot and repair complex problems at our customers' sites,
- Resolving requests from the Technical Support Unit when you are on intermission,
- Measuring the Quality of Service of your services,
- Recording non-conformities and improvement ideas that you will collect in the field, with the aim of contributing to the continuous improvement of products.

 

Customer Satisfaction is the priority of the Customer Service Department. It is the fundamental objective of all our actions and the unifying element of the team.
You will be highly mobile, sometimes up to 80% of the time, mainly in Europe, USA and Asia. Your missions in the field will require rigorous preparation of the means at your disposal.
On your return from the mission, you will have to write accurate and complete reports so that they can be used by other departments in the company.

 

Profile
You will have at least 2 years experience in a similar position in complex systems or instrumentation in an international context.
You are motivated by the sake of Customer Satisfaction, you have a strong taste for travel and have intercultural skills.
