Business Application Manager

Our subsidiary VAISALA France SAS located in Saclay (91), is a key supplier of atmospheric measurement instruments for the analysis of wind profiles, thanks to LIDAR (Light Detection and Ranging), laser technology (predominantly optical, photonic and electronic). Its various markets are the wind industry, international airports, meteorology and air quality. VAISALA France SAS generates its turnover mainly internationally on the 5 continents.

As part of the constant growth and development of our activities in the wind energy market, Vaisala France is recruiting a "Business Application Manager  – Wind Energy" M/F, in order to strengthen the "Renewable Energy Business" team.

You will be in charge of supporting business development actions thanks to your expert understanding of the customer applications and a deep knowledge of our offering. You will work in close cooperation with product and offering team, sales team, scientific experts and new solution managers. Externally you will be in regular interactions with wind farm developers, turbine manufacturers, wind farm operators, expert service providers and industry opinion leaders. The position stands in the Market & Offering Renewable Energy team. 

The market you will be in charge is the global wind energy market. The products are in particular wind lidars, onshore and offshore vertical profilers, wind turbine nacelle-mounted lidars, long-range scanning lidars, turbine sensors, weather stations, software and data products. 


Your significant missions will consist of:
-    Support sales actions with expert knowledge, which includes participation to pre-sales, industry events & customer meetings, and sales training
-    Identify new applications and technology trends 
-    Contribute to product and offering roadmaps
-    Collect business intelligence 
-    Contribute to the creation of product presentations, coordinate scientific proofs and sales kit documents with Tactical Marketing and Scientific Marketing
-    Propose partnerships to develop our offering, in coordination with product managers and new solution managers

Engineering/MSc Degree, with ideally a specialization in Renewable Energies, you have at least 3 years of experience, including at least one experience in Wind industry.

Technical knowledge and skills:

•    Strong orientation into customers and applications 
•    Can work with high tech teams, comfortable with technologies, sensors and data
•    Motivated to work in Renewable Energy industry
•    Language: Fluent English 

Soft skills:
•    You are a good listener and have excellent oral and written communication skills (wide range of multicultural interlocutors).
