Job Title : Sales Manager
Sales Manager, Australia and New Zealand
We are now looking for a Sales Manager to join our Industrial Measurements Sales organization.
Your role will be to build up, develop and manage the business growth for parts of Australia and New Zealand for our Power, Biogas and Carbon Capture, Utilisation & Storage (CCUS) portfolios. This includes Dissolved Gas Analysis, Moisture in Oil and additional products for (but not limited to) Process Industries, Mining and Power. This will be to our key clients, existing channels and developing markets.
You will personally drive profitable sales growth by executing sales actions. You will report to the Head of Sales, ANZ.
The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years’ experience in direct sales and channel management, instrument sales as well as project sales.
The position is located in Melbourne, Australia.
Key responsibilities:
In this role you will be responsible for:

Achieving the defined sales targets with combination of direct sales and through channel partner sales.

Provide engineering consultative sales to end users and consultants, advising on the best solution from the strength of the Vaisala offering

Developing country sales plan in consultation with all the relevant stakeholders to achieve a sustainable market across our existing and new industrial offering.

Channel Partner Development and Management which includes
-
Working with and managing channels to ensure sales targets are achieved.

Monitoring performance of existing channels, sales and marketing campaigns.

Analyzing new markets and seeking out suitable distributor candidates.

Organizing regular distributor trainings to ensure product knowledge stays up to date.

Supporting channels on sales cases by providing timely response to technical and pricing queries.

Developing sales tools for distributors.

Joint customer visits with distributors.

Internal meetings with head office and communicating market requirements back to product management and marketing teams on regular intervals.

Defining and agreeing on marketing actions with marketing and business management.
Qualifications:

B.Sc. or M.Sc. (or equivalent) in technical discipline

Experience in sales and channel management
-
Experience is both instrument sales as well as project sales.

Willingness to travel (50% to 60%)

Negotiation and influencing skills
-
Fluency in spoken and written English is mandatory
You are sales hunter and result oriented. You have at least 5 years’ experience in distributor sales management, process instrument sales as well as project sales. You have strong communication skills, presentation skills and can work with people from different cultures. You are an energetic team player. You are also a forward-looking strategic thinker with focus on the customers.
