Inside Sales, South East Asia

 

to join our Industrial Measurements Sales organization.

 

Your primary responsibility in this role is to grow Sales Revenue and to support our sales persons and distributors in the APAC Region for our entire Industrial Measurements offering.

 

You will personally drive profitable sales growth by executing insides sales actions. You will report to the Sales Manager, South East Asia.

 

The ideal candidate should have at least 0 to 2 years’ of working experience in insides sales or application engineering.

 

The position is located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

 

Key responsibilities:

In this role you will be responsible for:

 

  1. Act as the first point of contact for our customers in South East Asia
  2. Screen and qualify sales leads generated through marketing activities.
  3. Communicate with customers to identify sales opportunities and propose solutions
  4. Answer customers’ queries and send out additional information
  5. Work on quotations together with external sales and senior managers
  6. Take part in proactive sales by researching the industry, reaching out to contacts, and initiating discussions with potential customers.
  7. Communicate customer’s needs and requirements with Vaisala headquarters whenever necessary.
  8. Providing our distributors with pricing, lead time and pre-sales technical support.
  9. Approximately 10% to 20% of travelling is expected for internal meetings, trade shows, events and customer visits for this role.
  10. Backup inside sales responsibility supporting inside sales person(s) in Australia, Korea and India.
     

Qualification and Criteria:

  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. (or equivalent) in technical discipline, preferably in Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical, Process, Power, Instrumentation areas.
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent time management and multi-tasking abilities
  • Energetic team player with strong communication skills and ability to work with people from different cultures.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory with good written and verbal communication skills
  • Negotiation and influencing skills
  • Forward-looking strategic thinker with focus on the customers.
