We are now looking for


Senior Engineer, Sensor Process Development


to Vaisala Sensor Factory Process Development team located in Vantaa.


In this position, you will be responsible for our microsensor manufacturing process quality in dedicated technology area e.g. Thin Films, plasma/wet processes, assembly processes. You will be a key person to implement our growth strategy by developing the quality of sensor manufacturing processes and supporting the production.


Your key responsibilities in this role are:


  • Development of micro sensor manufacturing processes
  • Development of preventive process controls
  • Replacement and new technology investments
  • Production support and daily operations
  • Non-conformity handling and problem solving activities


To be successful in this role, we-re searching for candidates with the following qualifications:


  • M.Sc/B.Eng. degree in relevant field
  • Several years experience of semiconductor processes/sensor manufacturing
  • Quality mindset and understanding of ISO9001 requirements
  • IT skills, including knowledge of production systems e.g. MES/ERP
  • Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of core quality tools e.g. SPC, PFMEA, MSA
  • Language skills: English
