About the role
The goal of the Master Thesis worker is to acquire new knowledge about the hydrophobic coating materials available in industry or at research level, as well as the related processing technology. You are primarily expected to conduct a comprehensive literature review on the topic, while also having the opportunity to actively contribute to test development and practical experimental work. The outcomes of your research will be utilized in our high-performance products for shielding measurement devices, ensuring seamless operation even in the most demanding weather conditions.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Develop a holistic understanding of the state of the art in hydrophobic coating and identify the solutions that best fit our needs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including colleagues from the science, production, sourcing and product development, and cultivate end-to-end thinking, to align the new technologies under study with the business needs
  • Combine your findings with stakeholder input to identify potential suppliers of hydrophobic coating technologies and materials
  • Design and perform laboratory tests and report the research-related findings
  • Planning, managing, and executing the project in detail and within the specified timeframe
  • Document and communicate the final outcome

 

Requirements ensuring your success in the role:

  • Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Material Science, Chemistry, Physics, or a related field
  • Curiosity and courage: You thrive in uncharted territory. This research work is a new initiative without ready-made solutions, so learning and innovation are key
  • Self-driven attitude with the ability to work independently and achieve set goals
  • Experience in laboratory measurements and equipment is considered an advantage
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and draw meaningful conclusions
  • Solid English writing and communication skills, with the ability to effectively present research findings
  • Willingness to deepen your knowledge in atmospheric measurement principles and phenomena
