We are looking for a Test Engineer to join our Production Technologies organization at Vaisala headquarters in Vantaa, Finland.

What's your role?
You will work in Production test development team which is a part of the Operations unit. As an R&D project team member your responsibility is to develop test and calibration systems. The work is done from a prototype phase to a final product, and production ramp-up.

Design, build and ramp up production test systems for new products; from defining test requirements to implementing both hardware and software

Develop the core technologies for production testing and calibration, ensuring our instruments can be reliably verified against target parameters

Develop user-friendly test automation and software, making the systems robust and easy to operate on the production line

Build manufacturing test competence together with the test development team, test engineering, and R&D

Ensure quality and technical integrity by applying and continuously improving test procedures and standards

Validate and document test systems and processes, and troubleshoot production issues, driving continuous improvement along the way
What will you bring?

Background in a relevant technical field such as electronics engineering, physics, automation, measurement technology, or software engineering, either through studies, work experience, or both

Programming and code writing skills (we are using C# in .NET environment)

Knowledge of electronics, industrial manufacturing and/or measurement technologies

Desire to develop a deep understanding of our products and services to help advance our technologies

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot production challenges and continuously improve test systems

Good collaboration and communication skills to work effectively as part of cross-functional project teams
