We are looking for a Remote sensing and soundings Technical solution manager to join our Weather, Energy and Environment sales and marketing team at Vaisala headquarters in Vantaa, Finland. What's your role?

You will be part of our Technical Solution Managers team within the Weather Energy and Environment, Sales and marketing organization working in close collaboration with sales, technical experts, product development, and project teams. Your core mission is to provide specialized technical sales support and translate customer requirements into winning solutions using Vaisala's product and services portfolio.

You will also actively contribute to AI-driven efficiency in tender processes, market insights, and customer-centric solution design, helping the team move beyond reactive support toward proactive strategic guidance. Given the nature of the projects the team works with, strong experience in planning and leading integration projects, including subcontractor negotiation and a solid understanding of civil engineering, is essential. The position requires traveling for 20-40 days per year. You will report to the Head of Business Portfolio.

 

What will you bring?

  • Ability to connect customers’ needs to the right solution across multiple domains, collaborating with specialists to assemble comprehensive offers
  • AI Proficiency. Demonstrated experience using AI tools to improve work efficiency, such as automating repetitive tasks, drafting technical documents, or leveraging AI agents in sales or project workflows
  • Comfort working with AI-assisted tools for tender preparation, competitive analysis, or documentation (experience with tools like Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar is a plus)
  • Strong technical expertise, particularly in planning complex integration projects. Experience with Weather and or airport environment related installation projects is considered as an advantage
  • Excellent communication skills, including engaging with experts, presenting them to diverse audiences, and understanding customer needs
  • Proficient in gathering information, performing thorough analyses, and effectively communicating insights, while demonstrating strong project management skills such as planning and organizing project execution
  • Academic degree in a relevant field
