Supplier Quality Engineer
We are looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer to join our team at Vaisala headquarters in Vantaa, Finland. This is a fixed-term position starting in January 2025 and continuing until the end of September 2025.

What's your role?
As a Supplier Quality Engineer, your main responsibilities will include:

Handling and analyzing non-conformities (NCPs) and ensuring corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) are completed on time.

Supporting suppliers in understanding failures and collaborating to develop effective solutions, acting as a key communication link between Vaisala and its suppliers.

Managing containment actions to mitigate immediate risks.

Participating in supplier visits and meetings to foster collaboration and drive quality improvements.

Contributing to internal process development and reporting initiatives.

What will you bring?

A suitable technical education (e.g., B.Sc., M.Sc., or similar), preferably in electronics or mechanical engineering.

Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

Fluent English, both written and spoken.
Highly Desired Skills and Experience:

Familiarity with 8D methodology and the ability to oversee the 8D problem-solving process.

Understanding of factory operations and relevant quality processes.

Knowledge of Lean & Six Sigma principles, with ideally a Green Belt certification.

Familiarity with quality systems and standards, such as ISO 9001 or IATF, is a plus.
