Summer Trainee, Pricing Analyst

We are looking for a Summer Trainee, Pricing Analyst to join our Service Business team at Vaisala’s headquarters in Vantaa, Finland. In this role, you will help drive service business growth in climate-critical industries worldwide.

What will your summer look like?

• Analyze data from multiple sources to understand service products, revenue, and costs, including extracting data from systems independently when needed
• Generate insights and recommendations to contribute forming pricing strategies in line with customer value, costs of delivery and business strategy
• Develop structured pricing guidelines to ensure consistency for new and existing services
• Collaborate with the Service Business team colleagues to develop and refine service offerings
• Work with cross-functional teams (incl. Service, Finance, Sales) to validate pricing models
• Build dashboards and reports to visualize pricing metrics for decision-making (using SAC and Salesforce)
• Gain hands-on experience in business analytics, data visualization, and strategic pricing, contributing to Vaisala’s business success

What will you bring?

• Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in business, economics, data science, industrial engineering, or a related field
• Essential understanding of pricing, finance, or cost analysis
• Analytical mindset and proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python, R) and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SAC)
• Resourceful, proactive and detail-oriented with the ability to work independently
• Curiosity to solve problems and collaborate effectively with a diverse set of colleagues
• Strong communication skills with the ability to navigate the organization seamlessly, both in-person and remotely
• Fluent in English; other languages are a plus
