Summer Trainee, General Ledger and Sustainability Reporting

We are looking for a Summer Trainee, Accounting to join our General Ledger and Sustainability reporting team at Vaisala’s headquarters in Vantaa. During the summer, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals and gain hands-on experience in the field of external accounting and reporting. You will also have possibility to participate in improvement of Vaisala’s sustainability reporting processes (CSRD) and contribute to ongoing projects.

You will be part of our General Accounting and Sustainability reporting team consisting of experienced and enthusiastic professionals. You will have an excellent opportunity with the team to ensure the accuracy, transparency and compliance of our financial and sustainability reporting processes. In this role, you will work closely with our global Finance & Control team of over 80 professionals from different countries. You will report to the Senior Finance Manager.

WHAT WILL YOUR SUMMER LOOK LIKE?
 

In our team, you will:

• Assist with general accounting tasks and reporting to governmental authorities
• Contribute to the projects in the field of sustainability reporting (CSRD)
• Support the team with various development projects 
• Gain valuable experience in the field of accounting and modern reporting systems in an international environment
• Work at our headquarters in Vantaa with potential for remote work flexibility. 

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
 

We are looking for someone with:

• Relevant work experience or studies in the field of accounting and interest related to sustainability reporting. Experience from an international working environment is an advantage.
• Fluent English and Finnish language skills are needed to be able to communicate with our international colleagues, authorities in Finland and abroad. 
• Experience in SAP tools is considered an asset.  
• Proactive and positive mindset.
