Strategy Manager
Helsinki, FI
We are looking for a Strategy Manager to join our Weather, Energy and Environment business area at Vaisala headquarters in Vantaa, Finland. In this role, you’ll own strategy from first idea to results. You’ll shape the choices that set out our direction and follow them through until they deliver. Expect meaningful work at the core of the business and real support for your professional growth.
Vaisala is a global leader in measurement instruments and intelligence helping industries, nations, people, and the planet to thrive. From predicting hurricanes to optimizing renewable energy production, our technology is used where it matters the most – from data centers, windfarms and laboratories to airports, the Arctic and even the surface of Mars. For a second year running, Vaisala got recognized in TIME Magazine’s World’s Best Companies in Sustainable Growth 2026 study. Our team of close to 2,500 experts and 62 nationalities around the world is committed to taking every measure for the planet. Driven by our shared purpose, curiosity, and pioneering spirit, we stay ahead and make a difference. At Vaisala, you don’t have to fit in to belong.
Why join us?
- Stay with the strategy you build. In many strategy roles, the work ends with the recommendation. Here, you’ll prioritize growth opportunities and strategic actions and drive the initiatives behind them
- Work closely with senior leadership. You’ll report to the business area leadership team and work with leaders and experts across our global organization
- Shape what AI means for our business. Vaisala is well positioned in AI, and our ambitions for it are high. For us, AI is a strategic question, not just a set of tools. You’ll help decide where it changes how we create value, compete, and work, and then drive those changes forward. We encourage you to experiment, learn, and find new ways of working ahead of the curve
What’s your role?
- Lead strategy work in the business area and run key strategic projects from first hypothesis through execution and follow-up
- Build the analysis and derive the insights behind our decisions, from market and competitor insights to performance tracking
- Present your recommendations to the leadership team and influence key decisions
- Shape our strategy for the AI era by identifying where AI creates value and building it into the way we work
What will you bring?
- 3–5 years of experience in top-tier management consulting, private equity, or a strategy role in a corporate or scale-up setting
- Structured, hypothesis-driven problem solving and strong analytical skills, e.g., market sizing and financial modeling
- You have built AI solutions yourself, not just used them: for example, automated analyses, custom assistants, agents or integrations to other systems. In your application, briefly describe one solution you built and what changed because of it
- Experience working with senior executives and the ability to turn complex analysis into clear recommendations
- High standards, strong follow-through, and a drive to make real business impact
- A collaborative and proactive attitude. You enjoy learning with others and take initiative to get things done
- A Master’s degree in a relevant field such as Finance, Economics, Industrial Engineering and Management, Mathematics, or Physics
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken
