What's your role?

 

You will join our Software Products team which is part of Weather and Environment Products and Technologies organization, a home for over two hundred brilliant minds. We are a diverse bunch, but we share the same excitement on how we can make the world a better place with tech. You will work in the team developing weather software. The team is co-located in Finland and in United States. In addition, there will be plenty of opportunities to work together with other talented colleagues across the organization. You would be joining to Vaisala R&D organization in Finland. 

 

Your daily tasks would vary between developing as a member of the team, participating in software design, implementing automated test cases, and participation in exploratory testing sessions. As a senior member of the team you would be participating also in the design of our future features.

  • JAVA with Spring Boot 
  • Microservice architecture 
  • Docker, Kubernetes  
  • Linux operating system 
  • React for new UI development 
  • Google Web Toolkit for existing UI components 
  • Continuous deployment pipelines, Jenkins for test automation 
  • Database experience 
  • REST API design and development 
  • C++ skills are an additional bonus 
  • Python skills are an additional bonus 
  • Networking.
