We are looking for a Senior Cloud Developer to join our Industrial Measurements Products and Technologies team at Vaisala headquarters in Vantaa, Finland.

What's your role?

As a Senior Cloud Developer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering cloud-native solutions that power Vaisala’s next-generation measurement products. You will be responsible for architecting and building resilient, event-driven systems and microservices on AWS, ensuring our platforms are scalable, secure, and maintainable. Your work will directly support our mission to provide reliable environmental data and insights to clients across diverse industries

You will leverage modern development practices and infrastructure-as-code to deliver high-quality, observable, and cost-effective solutions. By embedding AWS Well-Architected principles into everything you do, you will help ensure our systems are robust, efficient, and ready to meet the evolving needs of our customers and the planet.

What will you bring?

You deliver event-driven, serverless-first backends and resilient microservices on AWS, writing clean, typed, well-tested code. You define and operate AWS infrastructure as code, have a strong understanding of CI practices and pipelines, and design the AWS Well-Architected principles, with built-in observability, least-privilege security, performance, and cost control.

3+ years developing Cloud solutions

Fluent in TypeScript with strong knowledge of the Node.js ecosystem.

Proficiency in Serverless architecture and Domain Driven Design, Data Streaming.

Take part in agile team practices, embracing ownership, and actively participating in retrospectives and process improvements.

Help shape the future of our products by incorporating customer feedback into design and development processes.

Ability to take ownership and communicate effectively, coupled with an action-oriented approach to problem-solving.

Seen as a plus: AWS IoT Core, IoT Events, IoT Jobs, AWS Kinesis Stream, Hexagonal architecture, Event Driven Architecture Understanding of Testing Strategy: Familiarity with the testing pyramid and the ability to contribute to or define an effective testing strategy.
