You will join an international working environment in a growing business, where you will have the opportunity to work with motivated professionals in an organization that strongly supports personal growth and continuous development.

What's your role?

In this role, you will be part of the EMEA North & East sales team, specializing in Vaisala’s solutions for Critical Buildings. You will drive and grow sales in the building sector, focusing on customers who operate facilities essential for safety, continuity, and resilience – such as data centers, hospitals, cleanrooms, emergency service facilities, and other mission-critical environments in the HVAC industry.

This new position has been created to support Vaisala’s growth ambitions in the critical building sector and calls for a proactive, self-driven professional who can identify new customer segments, build strong networks, and develop long-term relationships with key decision-makers in critical building environments and HVAC markets.

The North & East business area covers the Nordic countries, the Baltics, the eastern parts of the EU/EEA, CIS countries, and the Middle East, with this role primarily focused on Finland and Sweden. You will collaborate closely with a wide range of Vaisala stakeholders, including product management, marketing, inside sales, technical support, and operations.

Your Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Expand the customer base and generate sales in the critical building and HVAC segment, such as datacenters, cleanrooms and other critical buildings
  • Drive consultative selling of Vaisala’s building-related solutions, including applications for HVAC and building automation systems
  • Work together with other Sales Managers present in the country and the EMEA critical building Sales team members
  • Manage the entire sales process (contacting potential customers, lead generation, customer meetings, quotations, orders, follow-up)
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and stakeholders
  • Collaborate with Vaisala’s product management, marketing, and technical support teams to ensure customer success

What will you bring?

  • M.Sc., B.Sc., or equivalent degree in a relevant technical or commercial discipline (engineering, HVAC, automation, environmental technologies).
  • Minimum 3–5 years of technical sales experience, with a proven track record selling engineered or high-tech solutions to industrial, HVAC, or building automation customers.
  • At least 2–3 years of practical experience with HVAC systems, BMS/building automation systems, or comparable environmental control technologies—with the ability to understand system architecture and customer operational requirements.
  • Fluency in Finnish and English, both written and spoken, to support customer interaction and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Demonstrated hunter mindset, with the ability to independently create demand, identify new opportunities, and convert them into sustainable business.
  • Strong relationship-building and networking skills, supported by experience managing technical customer stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex technical value into compelling customer benefits.
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly to customer sites across the region.

What’s Considered an Advantage

  • Swedish language skills for enhanced customer support across the Nordics.
  • Experience working with automation contractors, engineering firms, or large industrial end-users.
