Quality Inspector Trainee

We are looking for a Quality Inspector Trainee to join our Quality Control team for a summer job. This is a temporary position and is located at Vaisala headquarters in Vantaa. The full-time summer job starts on May 5, 2025, at the earliest and continues until August 31, 2025 at the latest. We can also prepare a zero hour contract before and after that time as agreed. 

You will be part of Quality Control team. In our team is a great team spirit – we develop our operations together and help each other. Quality Control team has different responsibility areas in incoming and outgoing material quality. You will ensure that the quality of the components and manufactured goods and their visual quality, documentation and packaging meet the specification requirements for our weather and industrial equipment factories.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?  

As a quality control team member, you will be responsible for ensuring that our weather and instrument factories meet our high standards of quality. You will work closely with both factories to ensure that manufacturing output is according to the quality standards set by our company. The team is operating in 2 shifts morning and evening, occasional weekend shifts are also required. The number of hours worked per week is 40.  

• Report any possible deviations, providing swift feedback to our factory performance. 

• Control incoming and outgoing quality by inspecting the products with our quality guideline and detailed instructions. 

• Adhere to established company policies and procedures paying special attention to safety regulations. 

• Provide feedback to factory queries about product visual quality. 

• Manage supplier material returns and minor claims 

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU?  

• Ability to focus on repetitive work while being able to identify deviations  

• Co-operation skills  

• Good communication skills both in English and in Finnish 

• You are studying at a university, college, high school, vocational school, or equivalent 

• Or you have already graduated and are looking for a summer job 

• Previous experience in production assembly or quality inspection is beneficial 

• Ability to prioritize your work
