QA Lead / Business Solution Owner

What's your role? 

You will be part of our Digital Excellence team, which is responsible for the development, implementation, support and maintenance of Vaisala’s business solutions as well as IT processes and frameworks. As QA lead you will take the key role in defining software/digital application development and quality assurance process and tools for Digital Excellence development teams. As Business Solution Owner, you will also develop and maintain our collaboration, software development and innovation tools i.e. JIRA, Confluence and Bitbucket as well as Miro.  You will report to Head of IT Process and Framework.  

Your main responsibilities include: 

• Create and own quality assurance processes for IT development including DevSecOps practices and tools. 

• Be accountable for solution area: Jira, Confluence and Bitbucket as well as Miro and their development in co-operation with stakeholders. 

• Collaborate with stakeholders to develop a roadmap for own solution area. 

• Provide support and train key users. 

• Manage vendors and licenses. 

• Define policies and processes including security. 

• Act as an internal consultant; benchmark and share industry best practices in own solution area. 

What will you bring? 

• Experience in developing processes, solutions and their quality assurance. 

• Implementing experience of DevOps/ DevSecOps is an asset. 

• Understanding of business applications, software development and system architecture. 

• Understanding of agile principles in IT development. 

• To be an active, self-driven person with analytical skills.
