Production Planner

We are looking for a Production Planner to join our Planning and Purchasing team at Vaisala headquarters in Vantaa, Finland. What's your role?

You will be part of our Planning and Purchasing team. Our team is the backbone of Vaisala’s production, and we contribute to Vaisala’s success by maintaining high reliability of our operations and improving efficiency. Our high mix, low volume production environment makes our work interesting and varying. We are a diverse group, but we all share the same passion on how we can make the world a better place with our work. You will report to Senior Manager, Planning and Purchasing WEA.

Your responsibilities include:

• Ensure smooth operations and on-time delivery by scheduling manufacturing (i.e. managing and prioritizing incoming orders, releasing orders to production).
• Manage production capacity utilization to ensure on-time delivery by collaborating with production team leaders (production resourcing, leveling and coordination).
• Collaborate closely with sales about delivery times, updated standard lead times and other order details.
• Act as a contact point between purchasing, production, and sales.

What will you bring?

• Degree in relevant field and previous experience in production planning.
• An eye for the details and the ability to switch focus from details to the bigger picture.
• Willingness to learn and develop yourself.
• Good cooperation skills to effectively work with different people across the organization.
• Proficiency in English, proficiency in Finnish is seen as an advantage.
