Process Engineer

What's your role?
You will join our Process Engineering and Support team to support Vaisala’s weather factory production. Together with the team, you will have an excellent opportunity to ensure smooth manufacturing processes during business growth and maintain routing and manufacturing equipment to meet the required capacity. This role involves supporting production in product change implementation projects. The work is done mostly at the factory with limited remote work possibility. You will report to Manager, Process Engineering and Support.
- Provide production support.
- Implement product changes.
- Develop manufacturability.
- Design and maintain production layouts.
- Implement and maintaining procedure instruction.
- Proactively implement measures based on data analysis and observations.
- Coordinate and support collaboration between stakeholders.
What will you bring?
- Experience in manufacturing processes and LEAN manufacturing principles.
- Product compliance and audit experience.
- Strong IT skills, fluency in Excel, and the ability to analyze data.
- Strong social and communication skills to cooperate actively and clearly with factory personnel.
- Ability to summarize, report, and visualize issues clearly.
- Active approach and genuine interest in high-tech manufacturing.
- Systematic and logical way of working.
- Special interest in work safety and manufacturing quality.
- Proficiency in English, Finnish seen as an advantage.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering.
