Operations Data Analyst

What's your role?

You will be part of our Smart Factory team of five technology professionals. Together with the team, you will have an excellent opportunity to develop Vaisala’s Industry 5.0 capabilities by releasing the potential of data and foster data driven culture. In this role you will be working in close co-operation with business stakeholders across the Operations unit as well as Vaisala Data team, developing our new data platform capabilities. You will report to Senior Manager, Smart Factory. Your responsibilities include:

• Operations data and analytics capability development in a close collaboration with business analysts and data team
• Development of reports, dashboards and data visualization​.
• Drive advanced analytics and real-time situational awareness initiatives in Vaisala Operations.​
• Facilitate business analytics needs collection and translate them to actionable development roadmap​
• Data sourcing and modeling in a collaboration with data team
• Coordinate business analyst community collaboration​
• Foster data driven culture by concretizing data assets and seeking ways to utilize data for daily decision-making.

What will you bring?

If you are comfortable working with numerous stakeholders in a changing operational landscape, this is the right opportunity for you. Ideally, you have:

• Relevant educational background (B.Sc. or M.Sc)
• Proven professional experience in data analytics as a primary responsibility, preferably operational data in the industrial sector.
• Strong experience of data analytics tools and visualization techniques, preferably SAP Analytics Cloud knowledge
• Experience in SQL, Python and other relevant languages for sourcing and manipulating data.​
• Understanding of modern data warehouse components and functions
• Experience on working with multidimensional data models
• Knowledge of data modeling techniques
• Strong experience of business requirements collection
• Preferably some experience on machine learning and AI technologies​
• Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills and can-do attitude
• Excellent team-work and communication skills, as well as ability to work with various stakeholder groups on all organization levels
