Junior Scientist

What's your role?
You will be part of our Weather Research and Technology team of experts, that work on both applied technology research projects as well as product development, covering a broad variety of environmental measurement technologies. In this role, you will collaborate closely with senior scientists, gaining valuable experience in data analysis and algorithm development while working on projects that span multiple technology domains and product lines. You will engage in diverse data science tasks that challenge you and support the team’s key initiatives. You will report to Science Team Lead.
Your responsibilities include:
- Conduct various types of data analysis, analysis automation, signal processing and modeling tasks. Presenting the conclusions you draw based on data and proposing next steps.
- Develop algorithms for cutting-edge weather measurement instruments.
- Working across different product areas and technology domains.
- Contributing to product development projects as well as applied research studies.
What will you bring?
- MSc degree in physics, mathematics, atmospheric sciences, or other field relevant for data science.
- Recent graduate, few years of relevant working experience is beneficial.
- Enthusiasm to work in multi-project environment, personal task and priority management skills, capability to see the essence in different technology topics and start contributing swiftly.
- Fluency in data analysis and algorithm development, with a willingness to learn and adapt to various technology domains. Interest in modeling, machine learning and capability to work with large datasets are advantages.
- Fluent skills in programming languages, such as Matlab or Python.
- Strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to contributing to team projects, with an eagerness to collaborate and learn from others.
