We are looking for a Head of Corporate Communications to join our Communications and Brand team in Vantaa, Finland. The current role holder is moving on to a new position within Vaisala, opening the opportunity for a senior communications professional to take on a wide-ranging and truly global role working with the brand of a technology leader with unique climate impact.

This leadership role is responsible for shaping Vaisala's reputation and engagement globally. Together with a small team of communications professionals, you will ensure that Vaisala’s brand, purpose, and strategy come through clearly and consistently across internal and external channels.

Your role will be to:

• Build and lead Vaisala’s corporate communications strategy, ensuring that our narrative supports the company’s long-term business direction, with a positive impact on reputation and engagement.

• Lead and develop the corporate communications team, ensuring quality, consistency, and impact across activities and channels.
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on communications-related topics, equipping leaders with key messages and materials to build alignment, thought leadership and trust.
• Drive change communications in key strategic initiatives and take ownership of Vaisala’s crisis and issue communications.

What you’ll bring

• Broad expertise in both external and internal communications, including media relations, thought leadership, change and crisis communications, and employee engagement.
• Strong strategic and business acumen paired with hands-on drive and stellar project management skills to turn plans into measurable results.
• Proven experience in leading teams and/or complex, cross-functional projects, with the ability to coach, inspire, and influence effectively across the organization.
• Energy, curiosity, and resilience to deliver impact in a dynamic, high-visibility environment.
• Fluency in both Finnish and English is essential for working across Vaisala’s corporate communications and stakeholder engagement both globally and locally in Finland.
