HVAC Engineer

What's your role?

Our Cleanroom Technologies team forms the very foundation of Vaisala's manufacturing excellence, as we provide support to our weather, instrument, and sensor factories situated within our Vantaa campus. We ensure seamless operations, enabling Vaisala to consistently deliver products renowned for their unmatched reliability. Now is the perfect moment to join us and be a part of an exciting clean room expansion project - an opportunity you won't want to miss! You will report to Cleanroom Technologies Manager.

You will be our go-to-person regarding Vaisala’s production environment heating, ventilation, air conditioning and automation. In your daily work, you will:

• Design, implement and oversee production and clean room conditions.
• Conduct regular inspections and assessments of HVAC equipment to identify potential improvements.
• Ensure a secure work environment for our colleagues in production.
• Manage HVAC documentation, e.g., maintenance reports, equipment manuals, and service reports.
• Collaborate with vendors to commission HVAC systems, ensuring proper installation, functionality, and adherence to project specifications.
• Solve possible disruptions hands-on while collaborating with talented colleagues across the organization.
• Optional opportunity to join the technical on-call team—a great way to deepen your expertise and contribute to the team’s readiness to address urgent situations.

What will you bring?

First and foremost, we are looking for a resourceful person who is excited to work with both technology and people. Ideally, you have:

• Knowledge of designing, installing, and maintaining HVAC systems in a production or industrial setting.
• A technical degree, e.g. B.Sc. in Engineering or similar.
• Good collaboration skills to work with colleagues, contractors, and vendors.
• Problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach to tackle challenges in the production environment.
• Understanding of relevant safety protocols and compliance regulations.
• Proficiency in English, proficiency in Finnish preferable.
