We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Global Payroll Specialist to join our Payroll and HR Services team in HR global function at Vaisala, headquarters in Vantaa, Finland. What's your role?
In this role, you will be part of our Payroll and HR services team of talented and passionate professionals. You bring experience in payroll processes and regulations across multiple countries, combined with a creative mindset to develop innovative solutions. You are also good at operative tasks according to agreed schedules. You will be working in close co-operation with HR, Finance and external vendors. You will report to the Manager, Payroll and HR Services.
Your key responsibilities will be:

Manage outsourced end-to-end payroll processes for employees across multiple countries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established processes.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to obtain accurate data for payroll purposes.

Serve as a subject matter expert on HR/payroll matters, providing guidance and support to internal stakeholders.

Conduct regular audits to identify discrepancies and ensure compliance and data integrity within payroll calculations.

Assist with ad-hoc payroll-related projects and tasks as needed.

Support HR administrative tasks such as employment contracts, onboarding, offboarding, and changes in employment status.

Maintain accurate employee records in HR systems and ensure compliance with data privacy regulations.
What will you bring?

Master´s degree or university level degree.

A few years of experience working in a global company, preferably in HR or payroll roles.

Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously and the sense of urgency.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels of the organization.

Proficiency in HR/payroll software and Microsoft Excel.
Nice to have:

Experience working with SuccessFactors or other cloud-based HR/payroll systems.

Fluency in English; other languages are a plus (e.g., Finnish, Swedish, Dutch, German, Italian)
