Giant Leap Trainee, Product Marketing

Are you ready to take a Giant Leap? We’re looking for a Product Marketing Intern for our Giant Leap program – a project-based internship at our HQ in Vantaa. This project: Enabling LLM-Ready Product Marketing: Increasing Vaisala Product Visibility in AI-Assisted Buying Journeys explores how Vaisala can strengthen product marketing in an environment where buyers increasingly use Large Language Models (LLMs) to discover, compare, and shortlist solutions. As a Giant Leaper, you will get your own project to lead for three months, starting in June.

Giant Leap is a unique opportunity for you to be the project manager of your own project, with the support of your teammates and project supervisor. What will your summer look like?

During the summer, you will explore how buyers increasingly use Large Language Models (LLMs) to discover, compare, and shortlist solutions. Your goal is to determine how Vaisala’s product information should be structured, optimized, and published so that LLMs can reliably surface our offerings. You will investigate which content and formats best improve LLM discoverability and accuracy, and define the best way for Vaisala to move forward in this area.



Your tasks will include:

  • Researching how LLMs evaluate and present product information to buyers.
  • Auditing currently available Vaisala product content for LLM compatibility.
  • Experimenting with alternative content and structures to test their impact on LLM output.
  • Creating a prototype or pilot content package that showcases LLM-friendly product information.
  • Collaborating with product marketing, digital marketing, and product experts to ensure accuracy and alignment.
  • Preparing presentations and demonstrations of progress and insights.
  • Explore how AI and LLMs are transforming B2B product discovery and learn to structure information for both humans and machines.
  • Gain hands-on experience with AI tools, content formats, and product marketing while developing practical skills in analysis, recommendations, and stakeholder communication.

 

You will join Vaisala’s Product Management team for weather sensors, with Juuso Pokkinen, Product Marketing Manager, as your supervisor and strategic guide. The team develops some of the world’s most advanced and trusted weather solutions, supporting customers from national meteorological agencies to airports and renewable energy operators.

 

The role is based at Vaisala HQ in Vantaa, Finland, with a hybrid model requiring 2–3 days per week on-site for collaboration and stakeholder engagement.

 

What kind of skillset are we looking for?

You are in the late stages of your Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field, such as marketing, business, technology, information systems, engineering, or similar discipline.

 

Special skills

Ideally, you have:

  • Experience or strong interest in prompt engineering and working with LLMs.
  • Basic understanding of SEO and how content structure affects discoverability.
  • Understanding of core product marketing principles, such as positioning, messaging, and differentiation.
  • Ability to analyze and compare product content (web pages, datasheets, FAQs) and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Ability to structure projects independently, manage your time, and deliver results without close supervision.
  • Capability to interpret complex information and summarize it clearly for different audiences.
  • Interest in explaining technical concepts in a way that is engaging and easy to understand.
