Facility Technician

We are looking for a Facility Technician to join our Operations function at Vaisala headquarters in Vantaa, Finland.

What's your role?

• Troubleshooting and repairing mechanical issues in production equipment and facilities
• Performing preventive maintenance tasks on production equipment and planning maintenance activities
• Carrying out repairs on process equipment
• Conducting daily factory rounds to ensure the condition of production areas
• Communicating with stakeholders, such as equipment representatives
• Installing or arranging the installation of facilities required by production
• The role requires 100% on-site presence and occasional on-call duty

What will you bring?

• Hands-on skills with key machining tools
• Knowledge of automation systems, including control engineering, PLCs, and sensor technologies
• A strong desire and motivation to learn about equipment and technical systems
• Good communication skills in English for working with stakeholders, maintenance providers, and team members
• Analytical troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities, including the utilization of measurements and data
• Practical skills in equipment repair, disassembly, and reassembly
• The ability to support equipment specialists with installations and facility maintenance tasks
• Relevant technical education, such as a vocational qualification

Competitive Compensation: € 37 848 - € 56 772 annually. Salary is determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, internal equity, and alignment with industry standards and local market factors.
