Electronics Mechanician Trainee

We are looking for an Electronics Mechanician Trainee to join our Weather Factory team. This is a temporary position and is located at Vaisala headquarters in Vantaa. The full-time summer job starts on May, 2026, at the earliest and continues until August 31, 2026 at the latest.

You will be part of one of our four diverse teams consisting of 80 energetic professionals. The role of the Electronics Mechanician is to inspect, assemble, test, calibrate and pack products in accordance with established standards. You will report to Production Team Leader.

WHAT WILL YOUR SUMMER LOOK LIKE?
• Assemble products according to guidelines.
• Check product quality.
• Report issues to the Team Leader.
• Follow company policies, especially safety rules.
• Assist with inventory counting and corrections.
• Collaborate with engineers to implement process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the production area.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
• a University of Applied Sciences student in a relevant field, preferably in the first or second year.
• Some manufacturing and assembly experience is an advantage but not mandatory
• General knowledge of soldering and ESD material handling is a plus
• Mechanical skills and strong attention to details.
• Good written and spoken English is required.
• Sufficient Finnish language skills are needed for safety reasons
