What will your summer look like?
• As an Electronics Designer Trainee, you will work in product development at Vaisala, combining electronics design at your workstation with hands-on testing in the laboratory.
• You will take part in electronics design, prototyping and testing. You will use design tools such as Pads, and work with basic laboratory equipment like oscilloscopes and soldering tools for both new products and updates.
• You will learn how electronics product development is done in a high-tech company, and deepen your skills in design, testing, laboratory work and collaboration with other team members.
• You will join an experienced product development team and work closely with hardware and other development professionals who support and guide you in your daily tasks.
• The work is mainly done at the office because of the need for laboratory facilities, so you are expected to work mostly on site.
What will you bring?
• You are a M.Sc. or B.Eng. student in electronics or a closely related field, with a few years of studies completed.
• You have basic knowledge of electronics and circuit design, are familiar with laboratory work and measurement equipment, and can work in English. Experience with electronic design tools or practical electronics projects is a clear advantage. You might also be able to make use of, for example, Python or AI tools in your work.
• You are curious, careful and systematic, willing to ask questions, and able to take responsibility for your tasks while working well together with others.
Ready to take every measure for the planet? Apply at the latest on February 28, 2026 via the application form. Please attach your CV.
Kindly note that we are not able to provide support in relocation or work permit-related matters.
