Credit Manager

What's your role?

As the global process owner of credit management, you will be part of our global Finance & Control organization, comprised of a group of dynamic finance professionals. At Vaisala, Credit Management is organized and managed centrally from HQ with global responsibility. Together with your team, you will have an excellent opportunity to lead and develop our ways of working in credit management and controlling. In this role, you will work closely with internal stakeholders (sales, logistics, and manufacturing teams) and external stakeholders (customers, collection agencies, rating agencies). You will report to the Head of Treasury.

• Lead your own team and manage various people matters (e.g., guidance, coaching performance management and team development).
• Act as global process owner for credit management and collection processes with continuous development of processes and related solutions including SAP S4/HANA as main platform (e.g., customer creditworthiness analysis, overall credit exposure monitoring and sales order releases, aged debt follow-up procedures).
• Work in close co-operation with business units and provide top class in-house credit risk advisory.
• Develop and implement Vaisala Group Credit Policy as well as lead the development of credit control process, procedures, solutions, internal controls, reporting and arrange trainings for different internal stakeholders.

What will you bring?

• Solid work experience from credit management activities in a global corporate environment, including experience from credit rating, scoring procedures, financial analysis and reporting.
• The maturity to assume the responsibility of leading a substantial team of experts
• Process and development oriented.
• Collaborative abilities across diverse organization and good communication skills with the ability to influence and coach others towards the set goals.
• Relevant degree in finance, economics or equivalent.
• Fluent English and Finnish language skills.
