We are looking for a Sales Manager to join our Vaisala Xweather Insight Sales team in our Espoo, Finland office. You will join a seasoned team of sales professionals in Espoo, Boulder (Colorado) and Rio de Janeiro (Brazil).  

 

Xweather Insight is a weather confidence platformdesigned to give actionable weather and environmental intelligence for weather-sensitive industries (for example aviation, renewable energy, utilities, ports, mines and city authorities), to help mitigate risks from severe weather, optimize operations, improve safety, plan ahead, and make better decisions.

The Sales Manager, Xweather Insight will be responsible for driving sales growth and expanding our global market share. This role is ideal for a true hunter—someone who thrives on identifying, pursuing, and closing new opportunities, particularly in the Software as a Service (SaaS) domain. We are seeking a driven and results-oriented Sales Manager to spearhead our new business development efforts. You will play a key role in expanding our market presence, building a strong pipeline of prospective clients, and driving revenue growth. 

 

What's your role? 

 

  • Identification, pursue, and close of new opportunities: Expanding our market presence, building a strong pipeline of prospective clients, and driving revenue growth. 

  • Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve sales targets and expand Vaisala’s presence in the weather services. 

  • Sales Process Management:Oversee the entire sales process from lead generation to closing deals, ensuring a seamless customer experience. Utilize Salesforce to track sales activities and customer interactions. 

  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including product management, marketing, and customer service, to align sales efforts with company objectives and ensure customer satisfaction. 

  • Product Expertise: Maintain in-depth knowledge of Vaisala’s Power products and services and effectively communicate their benefits to customers.  

 

What will you bring? 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field. 

  • Minimum of 3 years of sales experience in Software as a Service (SaaS). 

  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing market share. 

  • Excellent communication with proven negotiation, and presentation skills in sales. 

  • Ability to travel up to 50% within the region as required. 

  • Experience in driving subscription revenue growth through strategic customer acquisition, relationship management, and data-driven sales leadership in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment. 

  • Familiarity with subscription/consumption pricing, data licensing, renewals and expansions. 

  • Excellent English (written and spoken); additional EMEA/AMER language(s) a plus.
