Field Application Engineer

We are looking for a Field Application Engineer to join our Industrial Measurements organization at Vaisala in Sweden.

What's your role? 

You will be part of our Field Service team. Together with the team, you play a key role in improving the reliability and quality of our high-tech products. In this role, you will perform software installation and configuration, validation, calibration, and mapping. You will be working in close co-operation with our sales team, R&D professionals, and customers. Domestic travelling in Sweden is expected in this role as most of your working time will be spent in customer locations. When not working on customer sites, you will work from your home office. In this role, you will report to Field Service Manager, EMEA. 

• Installing software and hardware (data loggers) 

• System configuration 

• Customer training 

• Execution of IQOQ protocols 

• Mapping 

• On-site calibration of various sensors (temperature, humidity, differential pressure) 

• Customer technical support 

• Contribute to continuous improvement of products and processes 

What will you bring? 

• Education background in Engineering, IT or Metrology 

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a technical role 

• Proven experience in customer service 

• A basic understanding of the calibration is a plus 

• Problem solver with creative ability 

• Proactiveness and self-directed way of working, with the ability to plan, prioritize, and manage own work independently 

• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally within the EMEA region 

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills both in Swedish and in English 

• Valid Driver’s License
