Field Technical Support Engineer

Industrial Measurements business area serves a wide range of industries and applications ranging from pharmaceutical to food industries, and from warehouses to power transformers. It offers a broad range of accurate and reliable measurement instruments based on the cutting-edge technology to help our customers optimize their processes, improve efficiency, minimize energy consumption, and ensure the high quality of their end-products. 

 

Position Description:
We are currently searching for a Technical Support Engineer in our Louisville, Colorado or Woburn, Massachusetts office to join our Technical Support-Liquid and Power team. This position is hybrid and there will be expectations for working in the office as well as flexibility to work from home. The Technical Support Engineer will help our customers with various technical questions related to our products and applications, provide support over the phone, through email and online tools e.g., MS Teams and TeamViewer. The position also includes travel expectations up to 50% to customer sites to organize trainings on a regular basis.  


In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Provide exceptional second line technical support to our global customers
  • Deliver high-class services at the customers’ sites
  • Travel to customer sites to conduct trainings two weeks out of a month (up to 50% travel expectations / opportunity to travel to our headquarters in Helsinki, Finland)
  • Actively contributing to and promoting the use of best practice and continual service improvement within the team
  • Ensure the level of service hits the key performance indicator targets

 


We’re looking for people who have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Technology; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Excellent customer relationship management and communication skills
  • Metrology, process industry, automation, chemistry, and application understanding
  • Hands on mechanical engineering experience 
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Good documentation skills
  • Self-motivated and ability to work independently
  • Ability to effectively communicate and present technical information
