Vaisala is looking for a Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety (QEHS) Manager to join our global team, based in Louisville, Colorado. In this hybrid role, you will help keep our people safe, our standards high, and our processes running smoothly across the U.S. and Canada.

What You’ll Do:

 

  • Develop and implement our QEHS programs across North America, making sure we meet both global standards and local needs.
  • Align and manage local QEHS documentation with Vaisala’s best practices.
  • Plan and conduct audits, support corrective actions, and coordinate with external auditors (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001).
  • Deliver engaging training and promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement (e.g., Six Sigma, Kaizen).
  • Investigate incidents, analyze trends, and recommend smart solutions.
  • Build strong relationships with local teams, lead safety committees, and be the go-to person for QEHS questions.
  • Ensure compliance with all EHS regulations and keep accurate records, including OSHA reporting for work-related injuries.
  • Report key safety and quality metrics and support improvement projects across our sites.
  • Some travel expectations (visiting sites in the US and Canada).

 

 

What You’ll Bring:

 

  • A collaborative, can-do attitude and the ability to work independently.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, Quality, or a related field.
  • 4–5 years’ experience in quality and EHS management in an industrial or technical environment.
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or similar certification (required).
  • Quality Management Certification (preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, Lean, and Six Sigma.
  • Great problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Experience with internal audits, corrective actions, and driving improvements.
  • Knowledge of OSHA guidelines and ability to ensure compliance with city, state, and federal regulations. 

 

 

ANTICIPATED SALARY RANGE: $100,000-120,000 annually. (Salary is determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data).  Additionally, we offer our employees a competitive benefits package which is outlined below.
