- This role is an integral member of the global Human Resources team based in our Louisville, Colorado office for a full-time, on-site position.
What's My Role?
- Partner with leadership teams to ensure the alignment between the company’s people strategy processes & practices and the people related decisions.
- Ensure compliance with labor employment law for assigned geographies. Comply with all corporate/local policies, all Vaisala policies, including Code of Conduct.
- Manage complex or sensitive day-to-day people-related topics that support an open, inclusive, and values-based environment.
- Act as a coach with business leaders to embrace best practices and build effective teams and enhance overall employee experience.
- Foster constructive employee relationships across the organization. Understand employee needs and facilitate effective communication channels between leaders and employees. Consult with and advise business leaders on disciplinary process and risk assessment on employee relations and performance related issues.
- Proactively partner with business leaders and global HR to plan and execute Vaisala’s human resource processes: performance management, development planning, learning & development, and people forum (workforce planning, succession, talent attraction & movement, knowledge transfer plans, talent engagement & retention strategies, etc.).
- Provide consultation, coaching, and advice to business leaders in areas supported on people and organizational matters and establish operational plans.
- The Human Resources Manager must be passionate about providing the highest standard of customer focus across sites and must excel in a multi-cultural, diverse working environment.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Able to independently lead & execute change management programs and projects.
- Maintain data integrity in HRIS systems and compliant record-keeping
- Proficient in US federal, state, and local laws & regulations
- Self-Starter, with ability to manage various responsibilities, high level of accountability, follow-through, think critically, and apply analytical problem solving
- Must be decisive, work with a sense of urgency, attention to detail, and results-oriented with the ability to balance business needs
- Exercise discretion and good judgment when handling confidential information
- Ability to establish trust & credibility and support the organization’s priorities working in a collaborative team-based environment
- Excellent organizational skills, superior presentation, interpersonal and communication skills (written & verbal)
- Passion for continuous improvement and willingness and courage to challenge the status quo
- Curiosity and eagerness to learn about global HR practices and policies
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 10%.
What Will You Bring?
- Prefer 5 years of experience from having worked as an HR generalist managing a broad spectrum of HR disciplines with exposure to working with other countries.
- Minimum 2+ years’ experience with a technology company
- Competency in Microsoft Office 365, payroll processes, HRMS, and ATS systems.
- Ability to work with remote teams and influence in a matrix organization
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field, prefer M.B.A.
- Professional Certifications a plus
ANTICIPATED SALARY RANGE: $95,000 - $110,000 base salary with an annual STI bonus plan (on top of base compensation). Salary is determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
