Position Description:
The HR Manager will be based in our Louisville, CO office (hybrid work environment) and will partner with the Weather and Environment and Operations leadership team to build an exceptional group of highly engaged and motivated talents who are all passionate about taking the Vaisala brand to its full potential. The HR Manager will champion the transformation of the organization, help build a sustainable culture, translate business goals into organizational solutions, develop talent and engagement, facilitate communication, and ensure resources are aligned to meet the needs of the business. Vaisala is building the organization of the future and this position plays an important role in the company’s future success!

In this role, your primary responsibilities will be:
- Business Partnership:
- Understand the business and translate strategies and objectives into long-term, systemic organizational and people initiatives.
- Work closely with the assigned business group’s leadership team to identify and develop future staffing and talent needs.
- Act as a catalyst for building organizational effectiveness.
- Organizational Development and Transformation:
- Partner with and coach leadership to facilitate organizational and cultural change.
- Coach business leaders on best practices of building an effective team.
- Build management capability that supports an open, inclusive, values-based environment.
- Define strategies that support the development of the talent pipeline through Talent Management and Succession Planning activities.
- Analyze needs assessment to identify training needs of the group, as well as individuals.
- Support a Culture of Growth, Collaboration, Transparency & Communication:
- Develop and foster a strong communication plan that fosters Vaisala’s authentic brand values and ensures alignment and understanding across the organization.
- Champions tools, initiatives and processes that facilitate communication flow and fosters engagement.
We’re looking for people who have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in business administration / Human Resources or related fields required.
- At least 3 years of progressive HR generalist experience.
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proficient knowledge of U.S. federal and local laws.
- Curiosity and eagerness to learn about global HR practices and policies.
- High regard and respect for teamwork and collaboration.
- Passion for continuous improvement and willingness and courage to challenge the status quo.
- Ability to engage, mobilize, and influence people.
- Ability to work in teams on a virtual basis and drive influence in a matrix organization.

ANTICIPATED SALARY RANGE: $90K to $105K (Salary is determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data). Additionally, we offer our employees a competitive benefits package which is outlined below.
