Field Service Project Manager

Position Description:
We are currently searching for a Field Service Project Manager in our Louisville, Colorado office.  The purpose of this role is the management of Vaisala Service contracts related to transportation, energy, and soundings ensuring contract requirements are reported and being met.  The role also includes inventory management, maintaining stock minimums, shipping coordination, and inventory count validations for contract and Vaisala stock accounting.  The role includes customer coordination ensuring contract obligations are being met, with communicating with the customer for necessary service based on contract obligations, warranty services, and repair services.  

 


The successful candidate for this role will be vaccinated against COVID-19.

 


Your key responsibilities include:

  • Ensure contract obligations are being met for service deliverables
  • Monthly, weekly, and annual reporting as directed by contract obligations
  • Coordination between the Field Engineers or sub-contractors and the customer as necessary for service, repair, or warranty work as directed by the customer or service contract.
  • Monitoring of case queues for system outages and coordination of activities to resolve and communicate resolutions based on contract requirements.
  • Manage inventory levels to meet contract obligations and replenish stock levels as necessary.  Additionally, will assist with inventory accounting and management.
  • Manage service agreements between Vaisala and sub-contractors
  • Issue work scopes and task orders to sub-contractors when needed for services
  • Coordinate repair / service efforts with the Repair and Calibration Services team to maintain stock levels and ensure service agreements can be met
  • Assist in shipping parts to Field Engineers as necessary for service and repairs. 
  • Monitor sub-contractor stock and arrange shipments for receiving equipment from the contractors, and replenishing levels based on contract requirements.

 

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2-3 years of experience in Field Service Contract Management or Project Management.  Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience managing subcontractors  
  • Customer service skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to direct and co-ordinate internal personnel and external subcontractors.
  • Excellent task management skills; ability to establish work plans and assign tasks to appropriate personnel.
  • Strong problem solving, conflict resolution, coaching and team-building skills.
  • Understanding of capacity planning.

ANTICIPATED SALARY RANGE: $75,000-$85,000 annually. (Salary is determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data).  Additionally, we offer our employees a competitive benefits package which is outlined below.
