Missions

As part of the constant growth and development of our activities in the wind energy market, Vaisala France is recruiting a "North America Wind Energy Application Manager " to strengthen the "Renewable Energy Business" team.

 

You will be in charge of supporting business development actions in North America thanks to your expert understanding of the industry trends, customer practices and an expert knowledge of Vaisala offering in wind energy (wind Lidars, weather sensors, data analytics etc.). You will work in close cooperation with the product and offering team, sales team and scientific experts, and you will develop close interactions with wind farm developers, turbine manufacturers, wind farm operators, independent experts and industry opinion leaders. The position stands in the Strategy & Market Development team.

 

The market you will be in charge is the North America wind energy market, onshore and offshore. The products are in particular vertical profiler wind lidars, wind turbine nacelle-mounted lidars, long-range scanning lidars, turbine sensors, weather stations, software and data products. Applications cover the entire farm lifecycle, from resource assessment to farm operations.

 

Your significant missions will consist of:

  • Support North America sales actions with expert knowledge, which includes participation to pre-sales, industry events & customer meetings
  • Identify new applications and technology trends in NA
  • Maintain up-to-date your Vaisala product & offering knowledge
  • Regularly feedback Vaisala teams with NA market trends and customer usage analysis, as well as NA specific needs (products, services, 3rd Party offers etc.)
  • Collect business intelligence (key actors, competition etc.)
  • Contribute to the creation of NA centric offering presentations, use & business cases, scientific proofs and sales kit documents with Marketing and Scientific Teams
  • Participate to NA expert groups and build partnerships with NA opinion leaders to develop new practices and standardization.

 

 

Profile

Engineering/MSc Degree, with ideally a specialization in Renewable Energies

3-5 years of experience, including at least one experience in Wind Energy industry

 

Technical knowledge and skills

 

  • Strong orientation into customers and applications
  • Strategic mindset
  • Excellent networking and influencing skills
  • Outstanding capability and passion to learn and understand market needs, value analysis
  • Can work with high tech teams, comfortable with technologies, sensors and data
  • Motivated to work in Renewable Energy industry
  • Language: Fluent English. Ideally native English speaking
  • International
  • Proactive and agile approach to work
