Industrial Measurements business area serves a wide range of industries and applications ranging from pharmaceutical to food industries, and from warehouses to power transformers. It offers a broad range of accurate and reliable measurement instruments based on the cutting-edge technology to help our customers optimize their processes, improve efficiency, minimize energy consumption, and ensure the high quality of their end-products. 

 

 

Position Description: 
We are currently searching for a Calibration & Repair Technician who is responsible for performing calibrations and repairs on various Vaisala products in our Woburn (Boston), Massachusetts office.  The successful candidate for this role will be vaccinated against COVID-19.

 


In this position you will have the opportunity to: 

  • Perform detailed calibrations and repairs on Vaisala products.
  • Perform all calibration and repairs following the steps outlined in the Calibration & Repair Services Process.
  • Complete Data Sheets and Calibration Reports
  • Complete Repair Reports
  • Accurately opening, assigning, and completing Repair Orders (RO’s)
  • Read and follow detailed calibration/repair procedures
  • Accurately signing out inventory material
  • Provide clear and concise updates to customers regarding calibration and/or repair status or quotations.
  • Maintain clean and professional work stations at all times 

 
  

We are looking for someone who has: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent and 1-2 years of experience.  Or, equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Associate’s or Technical degree in related field preferred
  • Excellent spoken and written English as either primary or secondary language
  • Basic calibration knowledge
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic MS Office knowledge
  • Desired but not required experience:
    • Electronics
    • Mechanics
    • Telecommunications
    • Computer networking
    • Environmental or climatological disciplines
    • Dedicated customer service delivery
