Field Validation Specialist

Industrial Measurements business area serves a wide range of industries and applications ranging from pharmaceutical to food industries, and from warehouses to power transformers. It offers a broad range of accurate and reliable measurement instruments based on the cutting-edge technology to help our customers optimize their processes, improve efficiency, minimize energy consumption, and ensure the high quality of their end-products. 

Position Description
Vaisala is hiring a self-motivated experienced Field Validation Specialist. This role is located in the central United States and the successful candidate will be located near a major airport.  The person in this role will work directly with Vaisala customers to plan, schedule, coordinate, track, and prioritize all facets of a validation project as well as prepare validation equipment. He or she will coordinate with other departments to ensure all aspects of each project are compatible. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Schedule, lead, and perform validation projects
  • Perform pre- and post-validation verification on test equipment
  • Interface with customers to ensure project is completed to their expectations
  • Execute validation protocols, procedures, and final reports as needed
  • Perform peer review of validation reports
  • Execute troubleshooting strategies in the field
  • Maintain records of pertinent information for the project including project costs reconciliation
  • Independently manage technical writing and documentation aspects of validation reports
  • Troubleshoot, evaluate, and document the project performance to improve processes
  • Perform Data Migrations and upgrades
  • All other duties as assigned (calibration at customer site)

 


We’re looking for people who have:

  • BA/BS in technical or science related field of study, HSD/GED with technical training, or an Associate’s degree combined with mechanical aptitude or relevant industry experience
  • Three - Five years of direct validation experience (preferred)
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to perform tasks with high standard of quality and accuracy
  • computer literacy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • ISO 9001, ISO 17025, GMP knowledge
  • Travel up to 80%
  • Valid Drivers License
