As Director of Industrial Instruments for North America, you will lead a high-performing sales organization focused on accelerating growth, expanding market share, and delivering exceptional customer value.

 What is my role?

 

Sales Leadership & Strategy  

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with regional and global growth targets.
  • Identify new market opportunities and lead go-to-market initiatives to capture share.
  • Set goals and implement action plans to achieve them.
  • Collaborate with marketing to generate demand and build a robust, high-conversion sales funnel.
  • Provide strategic input to product development based on market insights and customer feedback. 

 

Team Development & Performance 

  • Recruit, develop, and retain top sales talent; build a strong internal pipeline for succession.
  • Establish clear performance metrics and incentive structures that drive results.
  • Foster a high-energy, customer-centric team culture focused on winning and growth.
  • Coach and mentor team members to elevate individual and collective performance.
  • Standardize best practices in account management, pipeline development, and CRM usage. 

 

Operational Excellence 

  • Deliver accurate monthly forecasts and performance reports using standardized tools.
  • Ensure CRM pipeline health and data integrity to support strategic decision-making.
  • Manage strategic accounts directly, ensuring high-value relationships and revenue impact.
  • Partner cross-functionally with marketing, services, operations and other regional and global functions to support sales execution. 

 

 

 

What will you bring?

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline; MBA or advanced business training preferred.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in instrumentation sales.
  • 2+ years of experience leading sales teams with proven success in driving growth.
  • Demonstrated ability to scale sales organizations and exceed revenue targets.
  • Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and project management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to support business objectives, up to 50% travel in North America, with occasional travel to Helsinki Finland.

 

 

 

ANTICIPATED SALARY RANGE: $160,000-200,000 annually with an annual sales bonus plan. Salary is determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
