Channel Partner Manager

Industrial Measurements business area serves a wide range of industries and applications ranging from pharmaceutical to food industries, and from warehouses to power transformers. It offers a broad range of accurate and reliable measurement instruments based on the cutting-edge technology to help our customers optimize their processes, improve efficiency, minimize energy consumption, and ensure the high quality of their end-products. 

 


Position Description:

We are currently searching for a Channel Partner Manager in our Woburn, Massachusetts office.  The Channel Partner Manager will help build and develop our Channel Partner program across all product lines. As a full cycle Channel Partner Manager, you will be responsible for recruiting new channel partners, managing existing partner relationships, and generating revenue for Vaisala through our channel partners and their customers.

 

The successful candidate for this role will be vaccinated against COVID-19.


Your key responsibilities include:

  • Work closely with the sales team to design, establish and execute a channel sales enablement strategy
  • Implement channel partner management framework to include: partner selection/recruitment, ramp-up, management and growth, and ramp-down
  • Oversee channel training program to drive and report on key metrics for channel readiness.
  • Improve customer consumption and lead the planning and implementation of customer presentations.
  • Coordinate the involvement of company personnel, including support, service, and management resources, in order to meet partner performance objectives and partners’ expectations.
  • Meet assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives in assigned partner accounts.
  • Proactively lead a joint partner planning process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones associated with a productive partner relationship.
  • Lead solution development efforts that best address end-user needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary company and partner personnel.
  • Ensure partner compliance with partner agreements.
  • Oversee contract renewals and termination of bad fit partners.
  • Develop and promote partner development and marketing enablement initiatives to accelerate partners’ ability to effectively position and sell Vaisala’s products and services (campaign development and deployment, lunch and learns, webcasts, partner communications, road shows, partner sales success stories, content, etc.).
  • Must be willing to travel up to 50%.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 5 years of experience in overseeing channel partnerships 
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Efficient presentation skills
  • Craft and implement channel sales strategies to meet monthly sales quota
  • Develop and maintain partner and prospective partner relationships through the use of CRM software
  • Negotiate contracts and growth plans with current and prospective channel partners
  • Ability to use leadership and sales acumen to train and develop sales staff
  • Ability to use analytical skills to analyze Key Performance Indicators to determine the health of a channel partner relationship
  • Ability to lead by influence
