Enterprise Sales Executive

We are looking for an Enterprise Sales Executive to join our Xweather Speedwell team. This role has a Europe wide responsibility and you can be employed optionally by Vaisala in Germany or France.

What's your role? 

As a part of the Vaisala Xweather sales organization, you will spearhead the development of business-to-business growth opportunities with both new and existing clients. Your efforts will significantly expand our footprint across Europe and foster partnerships with a diverse range of companies dedicated to weather and climate risk management. 

This role offers a unique blend of responsibilities, combining the expansion of our current market share with driving overall market growth. With the increasing global reliance on renewable energy, shifting political dynamics, and the growing frequency of extreme weather events linked to climate change, the demand for index-based risk management solutions is at an all-time high. This is your chance to make a meaningful impact in addressing these critical challenges through innovative solutions. 

The Speedwell team, a trusted name in the weather and climate risk management industry for over 25 years, is at the forefront of providing high-quality data, software, and services tailored to the insurance and risk management sectors. 

You will report to General Manager David Whitehead, who is based in Charleston, US. 

What will you bring? 

• A proven track record in business and sales, with at least three years of experience and a readiness to identify and engage new leads. 

• A background in meteorology, insurance, or financial markets, enabling effective communication with a range of stakeholders, from business leaders to data scientists. 

• A proactive and curious mindset, always eager to learn and grow. 

• Experience in weather or climate risk management, with knowledge of energy, renewables, or utilities sectors considered a plus. 

• The ability to work across cultures, with proficiency in German, French, or other major languages being an advantage. 

• Willingness and flexibility to travel within Europe.
