Sales Manager

What's your role? 
 

You will be part of our Industrial Measurements sales team of two Internal Sales Managers and three External Sales Managers. Together with the team, you will have an excellent opportunity to grow Vaisala’s presence in the Southern England, helping customers monitor and optimize their operations in demanding and regulated environments. Are you passionate about sales and technology? As an Industrial Measurements Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales growth by developing strong relationships with clients, understanding their technical requirements, and providing tailored solutions. The position includes frequent travel in the Southern England region – typically about half of your time will be spent visiting customers. You will report to Senior Sales Manager Stefan Danyliw.  
 
Your key responsibilities will include: 

  • Managing and growing sales with a portfolio of products and solutions that support critical operations 

  • Consulting customers on their needs, responding to inquiries and technical sales questions, and creating tailored proposals 

  • Visiting customer across a wide range of industries for meetings, demos, and relationship-building  

  • Identifying and approaching new prospective customers to expand Vaisala’s presence 

  • Collaborating with internal teams to prepare proposals and deliver excellent customer experience 

 

What will you bring? 

  • Proven experience in technical sales, ideally selling industrial equipment or similar technical solutions 

  • Ability to understand complex technical solutions and clearly communicate their value to customers 

  • Strong skills in customer acquisition, with confidence in prospecting and developing long-term relationships 

  • Customer-focused mindset with excellent communication and negotiation skills 

  • A team player who takes ownership of their own sales area  

  • Familiarity with key customer industries such as HVAC, life science, food and beverage, or other regulated sectors 

  • Preferably an educational background in engineering, technical or other relevant discipline
