Sales Manager, Maritime and Offshore

What's your role?

 

As part of our Maritime and Offshore Operations sales team in Europe, you'll play a key role in driving business growth in weather, energy and environmental solutions for the maritime sector. You will collaborate with offshore customers, system integrators and EPCs, shipyards, and partners to contribute to a sustainable maritime future. You will report to the Head of Maritime and Offshore Operations.

 

  • Drive and execute sales, manage Key Accounts, and develop new business opportunities across Europe.
  • Conduct market research, create strategic sales plans, and track performance.
  • Organize technical demos, manage bids, and represent the company at key industry events.
  • Work closely with the technical team to ensure Vaisala technology is accepted in new vessel and offshore platform designs. 

 

 

What will you bring?

 

  • Proven experience in sales and vendor management, preferably in Maritime or Offshore industries.
  • Technical knowledge, ideally in offshore HW/SW systems would be advantageous,
  • Strong skills in strategic planning, negotiation, and influencing.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive mindset with a focus on new market opportunities and customer needs.
  • Fluent in English
  • Experience with sales tools (e.g., Salesforce or similar)
  • Knowledge of maritime value chains and partner ecosystems would be advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel across Europe for customer visits and events.
  • Must be IT literate and hold Full UK driving license.
